10 Things You’ll Love about Living at 1831 26th Avenue
› Views for days…or at least, views all day! For you morning lovers, it’s sunrise…every single morning. During the day: peek-a-boo views of the Cascades. And at night, it’s gentle, valley lights.
› Your plants will love the bright and cheery living room! A full wall of windows and soaring ceilings make the great room our favorite place in the house. And our plant game has never been stronger.
› But don’t worry, the living room feels mega private. No neighbors looking in, but even if they were the custom-built shades are there whenever you want them.
› The chef’s kitchen! Whether you love to entertain or prefer cooking for one, the set-up of the open concept living room and kitchen couldn’t be better. The kitchen is perfectly organized for cooking, cabinet space abounds, and there’s even room for a sit-down dinner party. Holidays for 10, anyone? We’ve done it and would highly recommend.
› Parking is a dream. Two garage spots for you (WHAT? On Capitol Hill?!?), two driveway spots for your guests, plus allll sorts of street parking.
› And the space in the garage – unmatched! We used it as a home gym (thanks, COVID), a workshop, a hobby closet, storage, and parking. All at the same time.
› Downstairs. You’ll have private quarters for your guests if you choose. Or, like a previous owner found, it’s good and easy extra income!
› Lots of upgrades! New dishwasher, washing machine, toilets throughout, new inside paint, new fixtures, custom built-in closets, a Ring and a Nest…all added within the last coupla years.
› Shops and restaurants and bars – oh my! There are so many choices within just a few blocks. Kindee, Surrell, Two Doors Down, Voila, The Harvest Vine, Jae’s, Cantinetta, Tacos Chukis, Feed & Co, Raised Donuts…need we go on? Safeway or PCC or Trader Joes or Madison Market for groceries – pick your pleasure. And everything in Madison Park, Madrona, Capitol Hill, and the CD is less than 10 minutes.
› Getting, well, anywhere. It’s easy-peasy! You’re right between I-5, I-90, and 520, but not too close for comfort. Madison, 23rd, and MLK will take you anywhere you need to go quickly. The RapidRide is going in two blocks away and the buses that stop within blocks are too many to list.
› The Arboretum and Lake Washington! They’re right there. Quick walk and you’re strolling the trails or swimming in the lake. Go forth and explore! You’ll be glad you did.
› And finally…the neighbors! The neighbors are just the best. We’re going to be so sad to leave them. Tell them hi from us.
We think you’ll love living at 1831 26th Ave. Hope you think so, too!
